Join us for a sweet time as we sample honey and learn about the humble native bee. Donna is a Penn State Master Gardener in Butler County. She will take us on a journey of the history of honey from ancient civilizations to modern tables. We will explore how beehives work and the incredible teamwork needed as well as the natural benefits of honey for wellbeing and health. Everyone is encouraged to take part in a guided honey tasting, where we'll discover how flowers, seasons and the bees themselves, shape the unique flavors of honey. This program will be a lecture followed by a honey tasting.
