About us

The Southern Butler County Garden Club (SBCGC) was first organized in 1998 as the Seven Fields Garden Club. A small group of friends who shared a love of gardening met monthly to talk about their passion for flowers. As the club grew over the years, the name was changed to better represent the membership in the Southern Butler County communities. In 2004, the new name adopted by the membership was the Southern Butler County Garden Club, which became a member of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania (District IX) and the National Garden Clubs, Inc. Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs, Inc. We are also a member of the Cranberry Township Community Chest (CTCC). Joining this organization in 2011 has helped us connect with other non profit groups in our community.

We are a 501C 3  nonprofit group interested in sharing our love and knowledge of gardening with others. Our mission is to encourage a healthy respect for our environment, participate in community service/beautification projects and make donations to worthwhile causes in our community.

The SBCGC is an energetic, dynamic group. Membership to the club is open to anyone over the age of 18 years old. We encompass the Cranberry Township area as well as the surrounding communities. Our club is involved in many local service projects; we feel it is important to give back to our community not only through monetary donations but with our time. We also have a lot of fun, social events. Dues are $30 annually. Interested...Please join us at an upcoming meeting! Our Membership Chairperson would be happy to speak with you.
