No garden whatever its size, is free of problems. This program will help us learn about appropriate plant choices, favorable growing conditions and good gardening practices. When the inevitable problem does develop, you'll be able to identify and control what's causing damage to your plant. Topics will include common plant problems in the home garden and an integrated approach to controlling pests and diseases by using cultural/biological tactics as well as the sensible use of pesticides. Silloo Kapadia is a Penn State Master Gardener with Allegheny County and earned the Master Gardener Advanced Certification in Woody Plant Identification in 2018. She is also a Phipps Master Gardener earning the Certificate of Sustainable Horticulture in 2013. Lecture and Power point presentation.
